RPMF thanks 2015 London Marathon RonnersApril 27, 2015
Congratulations to all those who raised vital funds for the RPMF by taking part in this year’s Virgin Money London Marathon
Following the rigours of 26.2 miles, Ronners took refuge in the Marquis of Granby pub (@Marquis_Granby) for the RPMF Virgin Money London Marathon after party.
The Ronners who managed to limp there and their supporters were welcomed by the RPMF team and several of the RPMF’s current and former funded young athletes and their families who had kindly come along to show their support and appreciation for all the runners’ efforts.
Among the athletes in attendance were Dina Asher-Smith, Shannon Hylton, Cheriece Hylton, Sophie Papps, John Lane, Rory Dwyer and Jake Wightman.
It was a fantastic day with Ronners’ times ranging from 3:11 through to around 7 hours, all meriting great respect and appreciation.
The money raised from this day alone will help to fund the 2016 annual awards and we seek to raise more funds to support further initiatives and future awards.
Thank you to the RPMF team who helped out on the day – Kim Pickering, Dawn, Roddy, Katie and Charlie Barrow, Jo and Mike Summers, Richard and Ilse Hughes, plus Wendy Sly for her fantastic support.
A huge thanks again to this year’s Ronners and everyone who supported them so generously.
