2021 RPMF Grant Applications have now closedDecember 5, 2020
The Grant Application process for the 2021 RPMF Grants has now closed having received over 450 Applications during these difficult Covid times, showing how difficult many young athetes have found this period.
The portal closed at Midnight on Monday November 30th, having been open for more than 8 weeks and we shall now spend a few weeks going through each of the applications before the Grants Committee meets to decide on the successful applicants.
Successful applicants and those that we have not been able to support this year shall be contacted by email early in the new year. It will be a very hard process this year because our funds are limited, and we shall have some tough choices to make with so few athletes able to compete this year.
Like many charities this year, we have been severely impacted by the Covid pandemic and particularly the cancellation of the 2020 London Marathin, on which we are so dependent for our fundraising. It is only through the actions of so many volunteers and particlarly the continued efforts of those “Ronners” that were signed up to run for us this year, that we were able to raise sufficient funds for us to offer RPMF Grants in 2021, although perhaps not at normal levels.
Good luck to all that applied this year.
