Kim Pickering, Treasurer
Kim, daughter of Jean and Ron, is a founding RPMF trustee. She is senior deputy head at a successful independent secondary academy in North London, teaching ‘A’ level Psychology and Mathematics. In her younger days Kim was a county-standard sprinter and high jumper, now trying to maintain fitness with ‘power walks’!
Shaun Pickering, Chairman
Shaun, son of Jean and Ron, is a founding RPMF trustee. He competed in the shot at the 1996 Atlanta Olympics and, representing Wales, won bronze at the 1998 Kuala Lumpur Commonwealth Games. A member of the Welsh Athletics hall of fame, Shaun won 19 Welsh shot, discus and hammer titles. Shaun is now a coach, commentator, sports marketing and performance consultant.
Fayyaz Caan (Fuzz)
Fuzz, himself a 2.21m high jumper, helped coach Germaine Mason to Beijing 2008 Olympic Silver and Tom Parsons a top eight finish, Robbie Grabarz London 2012 Olympic bronze, European gold and Diamond League champion and Isobel Pooley to 2014 Commonwealth silver and a 1.96m outdoor British record. He continues to coach Robbie and Isobel along with a group of young talented high jumpers
Ian Hodge
Ian has been involved in helping determine RPMF award allocations on behalf of the fund since 1992. Ian is British Athletics’ official statistician and member of the British Athletics Race Agency Service.
Goldie Sayers
Goldie is one of Britains most respected athletes, retiring in 2017 after a tremendous career as a Javelin Thrower, culminating in a belated award of an Olympic Bronze medal from Beijing2008 Olympic Games, which was rightfully reassigned to her after the disqualification of a Russian competitor for a failed drugs test. Goldie had to wait 11 years to finally receive her medal at the 2019 Anniversary Games in London, and while she wa sdeined the opportunity to stand on the Olympic Podium, she appreciated the fact that so many friends and family and and adoring British crowd were there to witness justice being done. As developing athlete, Goldie was supported by the RPMF for many years, and at the end of her career she asked Jean to total up the grants that she has recieved, and wrote a cheque to repay the Fund for all that they had done for her.
Joanne Summers (nee Jennings)
Jo represented GB and England at every age level since her international debut aged 15. She competed at two Olympic Games, Barcelona 1992 and Seoul 1988 (where she set the UK junior record) and won high jump silver at the 1998 Kuala Lumpur Commonwealth Games. Having retired in 2003, she worked for British Athletics as development manager and team leader for GB junior and youth athletics teams.

Lynn Davies CBE
Coached by Ron and a founding RPMF trustee, Welsh long jumper and sprinter “Lynn the Leap” won Olympic gold at Tokyo 1964, competing at two further Olympics in 1968 and 1972. He was 1966 European Champion and won gold at the 1966 and 1970 Commonwealth Games.Stuart Storey
A former Olympic hurdler, Stuart is one of the most recognisable voices on television sport. In a career, where he worked closely with Ron and David Coleman, he covered nine Olympic Games (1976-2008), 12 athletics World Championships (1983-2007), 10 European Championships (1974-2006) and seven Commonwealth Games (1978-2006).
John Lister MBE
A founding RPMF trustee, John is a chartered accountant and former Welsh international athlete. He has beenhonorary treasurer of the AAA and subsequently the British Athletic Federation from 1986 until 1996 and was a council member of European Athletics for 12 years until 2007.
